Tobias Pfister

Senior Executive Officer / Executive Director

Tobias Pfister is the Senior Executive Officer at Equalis Partners Ltd. and has been the Chief Executive Officer at Equalis Capital Ltd. since its founding. Equalis Capital is an investment proprietary firm based in the United Arab Emirates. In his role at Equalis, Tobias serves on the company’s Investment Committee and leads the process of finding and managing investments.

Tobias has more than 25 years of experience in asset and wealth management in both Europe and the Middle East. He has held several senior positions throughout his career. Before starting Equalis in 2013, Tobias worked for seven years at Credit Suisse, where he advised family offices and semi-institutional clients in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. He began his career at Coutts & Co.

Tobias is a member of EFFAS (European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies) and is recognized as an expert in Finance and Investments by SFAA (Swiss Financial Analyst Association).

Philipp Frank

Chief Investment Officer / Executive Director

Philipp Frank is the Chief Investment Officer at Equalis Partners Ltd. and Equalis Capital Ltd. His strategic skills have helped build the company’s strong reputation in Dubai’s busy financial market. Philipp manages a wide range of investments, including public stocks, bonds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and private debt. His leadership ensures that Equalis Capital takes advantage of various investment opportunities through its diverse strategies.

Philipp began his career in finance at Credit Suisse in 2000, where he quickly stood out in the Investment Management team. He later moved to UBS, where he became a Product Specialist and focused on the Middle Eastern market, advising some of the bank’s biggest and most experienced clients on complex investment decisions.

Philipp holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of Zurich. His mix of academic knowledge and hands-on experience has made him a respected leader in investment strategy and financial management.

Oualid Lahsini

Non – Executive Director / Member of the Board

Oualid Lahsini is a senior financial services executive with more than two decades of experience spanning alternative investments, capital markets, and client partnerships across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He served as CEO MENA and Head of MENA & Asia Client Partnerships at Brevan Howard, based in Abu Dhabi, where he leads the firm’s regional growth and investor relationships. Alongside this role, he sitted on the board of MySyara.

Oualid built his career at the intersection of hedge funds, private equity, and direct lending. He spent nearly a decade at Ares Management Corporation as Partner and Head of Middle East & Africa Relationship Management, deepening the firm’s presence across the region. Earlier, he was a Middle East specialist in Credit Suisse‘s Capital Services and Fund Linked Products business, a role that took him from London to the Gulf over eight years. His earlier experience includes hedge fund coverage at Société Générale and hedge fund manager selection and monitoring on the managed account platform at Lyxor Asset Management.

Educated at the Lycée Lyautey in Morocco, Oualid brings a genuinely international perspective to his work, reflected in his fluency in French and Arabic, full professional command of English, and working knowledge of Turkish. Based in the United Arab Emirates, he is recognized for his expertise in hedge funds, private equity, and direct lending, and for his ability to cultivate long-term institutional relationships across the MENA and Asia regions.
